Version RAX/QMX/SEX 1.40 changes:
1) Supports MKXRS mail imported internally with new QMXSETUP.CFG parm
"MKXRS", which causes RaQmSeX to immediately call MKXRS.EXE (on your
PATH somewhere!) to do netmail accounting and post messages to your
MSG*.BBS files. (this eliminates the need for the batch file in the
MKXRS*.LZH archive)
2) "Show PIDs" in QMXSETUP.CFG makes the ^aPID: lines show up (for the
SysOp *only*) in XRS mailbags. (only works with XRS 4.0 and above)
Beta version RAX/QMX/SeX 1.33 changes:
0) RAX/QMX is now RQSeX (RemoteAccess/Quickpoint Mail/Super eXpress).
1) ACCESSx.XRS is placed in the SYSOPOUT path for local SysOp access.
2) Support for single user names works correctly.
3) Support for Super BBS - calls itself "SeX" instead of QMX or RAX.
Right now, the suppport is limited to using Quick or RA configuration
files and setting the "SUPER" environment variable to anything (in
other words, RQSeX works just like before, except that if it finds
the "SET SUPER=ANYTHING" environment string, it will use "SeX" as its
name and put "SBBS" into the BBS type field of mailbags that are
downloaded (instead of "QWIK" or "REAC").
4) Support for new "Auto_Bag" program, which creates just enough info
in the DORINFO1.DEF and EXITINFO.BBS files for RaQmSeX to run, and
creates specially named mailbags for future download. This allows
you to create mailbags once a day for special users or users that
call every day, anyway - thereby cutting down the mail scanning and
packing time to zero - instead packing it during the early morning
hours when nothing would be happening otherwise.
5) RQSeX programs are named "RQSeX.Exe" and "RQSeX286.Exe". You may
rename them if you prefer.
6) RQSex recognizes the SysOp as being the person named in DORINFO1.DEF
as the SysOp and always allows *Crash* netmail for that person. The
inverse side of this is that RQSex never allows crash netmail for any
person *except* the SysOp. This will be addressed when I issue newer
versions of RQSeX and XRUserEd that allow the SysOp to authorize Crash
mail per user - the XRUserEd program will be used to mark users that
the SysOp wants to allow sending Crash netmail, and RQSeX will see the
bit set and place the proper bits into ACCESSx.XRS as well. (XRS 3.44
and later already support this)
7) "New Only" as a parameter in QMXSETUP.CFG makes the file search show
*only* new files - never the five "most recent" which are the last 5
files found in each FILES.BBS listing.
8) The default option flag "Named Mailbags" is set *ON* for new users.
Please make sure your new uers are all using XRS 3.21 or later! (this
version of RaQmSex will be posted coincident to posting of XRS v 4.00)
9) New "Thread" information is imbedded in the BATxMAIL.XRS mailbags.
(to be used by XRS 4.01 and later) You can use the Thread information
now to manually follow threads using the <J>ump option in XRS.
Beta version RQXMX 1.32 changes:
1) Doesn't attempt redirection of output from packers.
2) The "FosDualInput()" function no longer beeps between every input
character during the last three minutes before midnight.
3) AKA address is always added to ACCESSx.XRS if the area is selected.
4) Does flags and security levels correctly on RA systems (was off by 1).
Beta version RAQMX 1.31 changes:
1) Flushes the FOSSIL after file transfers
2) Puts 'extended subject' ("RE: ") lines into messages.
3) The "QMX_CONF.SYS" file is properly updated after mail is downloaded
if file-sharing is in effect - before, I was opening the file incorrectly
and therefore only updating it if the system was in single-user mode.
4) Added function on "<C>onfiguration", "<O>ption toggles" sub-menu to let
users (primarilly for dual-floppy users) to further limit the size of the
mailbags (i.e. make them *smaller* than you allow for the "MaxLimit").
5) Rather than "forcing out" pending I/O before calling external programs,
I now just 'pause()' an appropriate length of time depending upon caller
speed. This is most likely the source of some low-speed callers hanging
right before a file-transfer in either direction.
6) Added support for the new "ACCESSx.XRS" file, which provides ability
to have "Public"/"Private"/"Read_Only", etc (more to come!) and also the
ability to have AKA addresses in echomail for conferences that belong to
"OtherNets".
7) If "Defer" is in effect, the "Logoff" option is disabled (it does not
display, but if they pick "Logoff", it works just like "Yes" instead).
8) New parameter for QMXSETUP.CFG - "NoLogOff" - disables the Logoff by
carrier drop for people running RQXMX as a door under WildCat!
